Nine people were arrested and charged over the weekend for peace disturbance and assault at a nightclub near Sikeston, Mo.
Around 12:35 a.m. Sunday, a Scott County sheriff's sergeant was checking on a large gathering at Mr. C's Night Club, on U.S. 61 north of Sikeston, according to a Scott County Sheriff's Department news release.
A fight in the crowd broke out, and while the sergeant investigated the disturbance, a second fight broke out, the department reported.
