McGinty, Cape Girardeau surgeon, who was a member of the now-defunct Exchange Bank. His book, "Under the Hammer," details the bank's failure and the takeover and sale by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, as well as the effect of the bank group's demise on depositors and stockholders.
