__What do you believe are the biggest issues facing the recorder of deeds office and how do you propose to address them?:__

Missouri Recorders are immediately implementing changes in legislation regarding marriage license applicants. My plan will be to continue communication with Recorder's Association of Missouri (RAM) and neighboring county recorders concerning changes in laws and in technology.

__How will you evaluate your performance in the office?:__

Feed back can be a reliable source of performance and feed back can be received in multiple forms; in person, by phone, by mail or by email. Perry County has a website with a link to each office, including their contact information and a link for frequently asked questions. Of course, one always works towards hearing the positive.

__What do you believe can be done to keep the county fiscally stable?:__

Communication with neighboring county Recorders; communication with Recorder's Association of Missouri and especially, communication with all Perry County office holders. I believe if all county offices communicate, work together and maintain spending within their budgets, more prosperous goals can be achieved. And since I've been employed with the County for 11 years, I have a working relationship with the current office holders which will help me maintain the lines of communication.

__What makes you the best candidate for the position?:__

I've been encouraged by the current Recorder, Sue Oster, to pursue this path as a way to continue the present procedures of this office and work towards more efficient future implementations. More personally, I want to continue to serve the citizens of Perry County from the recorder's office which I have the most experience. I can bring 11 years of experience and up to date training to the recorder's office.
