AUDUBON SOCIETY PLANNING FIELD TRIP

The Southeast Missouri Chapter of National Audubon Society will meet Thursday.

The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at Cape Girardeau County Park North Conservation Building.

Glen Smart will present the program on "Waterfowl Identification." He was formerly with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

The program will be in preparation for the Nov. 22 field trip to Horseshoe Lake. Ida Domazlicky, author of a recently published book on bald eagles, will lead the event.

Those leaving from Cape Girardeau should meet near the swimming pool at Capaha Park at 12:30 p.m., or meet at the ranger station just past Olive Branch, Ill., at 1 p.m.

The public is invited to attend the meeting and field trip.
