The Four Seasons chapter of the National Audubon Society has a number of events planned in April and early May. On Thursday, there is a chapter meeting at the Conservation Department Building in County Park North. The program will be given by Dave Wissehr of the Missouri Department of Conservation on "The Ten-Mile Pond Management Plan." On April 18, at 8 a.m. in Cape Girardeau, there is a spring migrant bird walk along Juden Creek. At noon, there is a spring wildflower walk and picnic at Little Whitewater River.

On April 24, there is a field trip to Ten-Mile Pond in Mississippi County. On May 8, there is the North American Migration Count, an annual full day bird count designed to record numbers of migratory birds from year to year. Four Seasons will count at Horseshoe Lake in Alexander County in Illinois and Big Oak Tree Area in Mississippi County.
