Asthma classes available
Asthma is a major contributor to death, disease and health-care costs in the United States. The results of several studies suggest that patient education, self-management techniques and an effective medical regimen can result in a significant decrease in hospital admission, emergency visits and cost.
With these goals in mind, St. Francis Medical Center will offer an asthma management program Tuesday afternoons during June. The program provides education to adults and parents of asthmatic children. Program sessions are from 4 to 5:30 p.m. for four consecutive weeks beginning June 4.
