The Southeast Missourian asked children about going back to school.
Danielle Thiele: "I'm looking forward to school and sixth grade. I especially want to go to P.E. class. We'll get to go bowling. The new middle school has a nice, big library."
Rika Friedrich: "I'm looking forward to seeing my friends at school. I'll be in fourth grade at West Lane. We're going to have a fair there with prizes. I like math best."
Amanda Lowry: "I'm glad to be going back to school because I'll get to see my friends there. I'll be in fifth grade at St. Paul Lutheran. I like reading, especially mysteries."
Cory Woods: "I want to see all my friends. I'll be in sixth grade at middle school. I've heard there is a big gym there, and that we'll get to change teachers."
Joseph Thiele: "School is fun, and you get to do all kinds of things. I'll be in fourth grade at West Lane. You have kickball and volleyball tournaments."
