The Southeast Missourian asked people what they like about the annual Homecomers celebration.

Frank Trankler: "I like to bring the kids for the rides and visit with friends and family. My daughter especially likes the pageant, and my son likes the rides."

Sheila Smith: "My kids enjoy the rides the most, and my husband and I like the entertainment, the talent shows and things like that."

Kevin Sawyer: "It brings a lot of people together who you haven't seen for a long time. It's lots of fun for the kids and good entertainment."

Matt Chubboy: "I like to come because it's a community event. You see your friends there. I'll definitely come for talent show because two of my girls will be singing."

Larry Pender: "I just like to see people I haven't seen for a long time. I usually come twice. I always get a Polish sausage and homemade ice cream."
