The Southeast Missourian asked people what they thought about murals being painted on buildings in Jackson.
Ellen Clippard: "I like them, especially historical pictures. Our children need to know more history. Murals are educational."
Nancy Collier: "It's a great idea. There is too much history to depict in just one mural. I would like to see several murals with different time periods."
Randy McWilson: "It gives the youth in the community a chance to see the past of the area, and that's important. It presents something that they don't get on TV."
Steve Hamblin: "I've always liked the murals I saw in Mississippi depicting things that happened in the cities. It would be nice to have some around here."
Cheri Stoffregen: "It's a very good idea. Murals would make the buildings look better and Jackson a much prettier place to be."
