The Southeast Missourian asked students at Jackson High School about the Jackson Indians baseball team.
Josh Adams: "We're struggling right now, but it's early in the season. I think we will get better as the year goes along. We have some seniors who are trying to get us all to gel together."
Mike Gross: "I don't think we are playing up to our potential right now. We're making silly mistakes. I think we're all working hard. We need to just go out and play and have fun."
Christopher Leimer: "I think we're doing pretty good, but we could improve in some of our skills in batting and pitching. We're working better as a team as we go along in the season."
Adam Click: "I think we're jittery right now. When we come out of that, we'll be OK. There is more team unity now than there was at the beginning of the year."
Melissa Webb: "I think the team is improving a lot since the beginning. I think they are learning to work together. A lot of people show up for the home games. The bleachers are usually full."
