The Southeast Missourian asked people what they thought about the new "budget billing" option being offered by Jackson Utilities for its residential electricity customers.
Karalyn Maevers: "I think it's a good idea. We had it where I lived in Montana. In the winter months, it would help people who are on a budget by letting them know in advance what they would have to pay."
Lloyd Crites: "I think it would be OK. It would be a good idea for some people, but I don't think I would have it that way."
Mike Pair: "I wouldn't care for it. I would just as soon pay it, and that way I won't owe later on for it."
Ellen Koeper: "I think it's a good idea, because it's easier to plan your budget for the month if you already have an idea of what it will cost you. We've already looked into signing up for it."
Kathy Brauss: "I think it's a wonderful idea. I have done it where I have lived before. You knew what you had to pay every month."
