The Southeast Missourian asked people if Jackson residents are ready for some new faces on the Jackson Board of Aldermen.
Janet Loenneke: "I think that more people are filing for the board because the city is growing. The city is getting more problems, and maybe the people who are on the board now are used to smaller problems.
Marilyn Lowes: " Yes. I think it's always good to see new people take an interest in the city and what is going on."
Becky Zeilenga: "I think Jackson residents are ready for some new people on the board. It would be good to get some new ideas and see what other people have to say."
Kirk Williams: "I think the aldermen have done an excellent job for Jackson. However, if people feel they need to get involved, I say let's run for it. I support the best people for the job."
Nancy Orendoff: "I think the new candidates should run for the board. With new ideas and the community growing, it's a good idea."
