The Southeast Missourian asked, "What do you think about daylight-saving time? Clocks will be set back one hour Sunday.

Linda Blankenship: "I really enjoy it. I remember as a child when St. Louis had daylight-saving time and we didn't have it in Cape Girardeau. I always enjoyed going to St. Louis because it seemed like there was more daylight."

Shirley Reimann: "Right now it is so early when the children have to go to school. I remember when we didn't change time, and people were accustomed to it. I would rather not have daylight-saving time and have it stay the same all the time.

Jerry Morton: "I like it. I do farming on the side, and it gives me extra time to do things outdoors in the evening. I would rather have daylight-saving time all year long."

Marvin Boxdorfer: "I don't think we're saving any time. We still have the same amount of daylight. It's a waste of my time and everybody's time to change over from one to the other."

Bob Lloyd: "I say it has worn out its usefulness. It does not bother me to switch from one to the other, but I would prefer to have standard time year-round."
