The Southeast Missourian asked patrons at Riverside Regional Library about their summer reading choices.
Susan Riley: "I've been enjoying the Better Homes and Gardens flower book. I enjoy gardening and finding out what helps things to grow and the best place to plant things. I read for information mostly."
Olivia Riley: "I liked `Snug.' It's about a bug that was afraid of the dark. At the end of it, he stopped being afraid and slept snug as a bug in a rug."
Twinkle Ivester: "I liked `Second Chance' by Vian Smith. It's about a boy who got in trouble and had to pay time by working in a stable. He learns to ride horses and becomes a world-class jockey."
James Alsup: "I read `Something Upstairs' by Avi. It's a mystery about a kid who moved from California to Rhode Island into a house that's haunted. A ghost takes him back in time to find the murderer."
Luke Mann: "I liked `Dress Code.' It's a Berenstain Bears chapter book for juniors. At Bear Country School, kids didn't like the new dress code, so they wore rag clothes to get the teachers mad at them."
