The Southeast Missourian asked students at North Elementary School about leaving school for the summer.
Danny Bono: "I won't be able to talk to my friends all summer, because I live far from them. I'll go swimming a lot and play baseball and soccer."
Hannah Gathman: "I won't get to see my friends every day, except for weekends. I'll miss playing all the sports with the class and doing science experiments, but I'll like going swimming in the summer."
Heather Jones: "I'll miss all the games we play in P.E. and the arts and crafts we do in class. I think school went by pretty fast, but I'll like playing baseball and swimming in the summer."
Eric Roth: "I've liked the reading we have done in school. My friends won't be so easy to see in the summer, but I'll be playing baseball and going swimming."
Rebecca Wissehr: "We did a lot of hands-on things in the class this year. I'll get to see my friends when I play baseball this summer. I'll go to summer school, because it's about space and I like that topic."
