Students at Orchard Drive Elementary School share why their mothers are special to them. Mother's Day is May 11.

Alisha Soemo: "She is special because she loves me and takes care of me. She's nice and I love her. She's also smart and answers lots of my questions. When I'm sick or hurt, she helps me feel better."

Nick Booker: "My mom is special because she helps me put my bike back together, and she will throw the baseball and football with me. My mom encourages me to do good work at school, too."

Hannah Kohm: "When you're down in the dumps or in the mumps, she will give you a kiss and say that's OK. Some day you'll see why she always loved you, because you are special inside."

Zachary Stanfield: "My mother is special because she helps me find my things. She helps me in the morning by picking out my clothes. She helps me with my homework."

Vanessa Underwood: "My mother is special because she went through a lot of pain for me, and I'm healthy because she took care of me."
