The Southeast Missourian asked people about their income tax returns.

Diane Lutes: "I've already got them in the mail. I'm going to get a refund this time after paying for the last three years."

Doug Sebaugh: "I'll be filing mine the week after next, after I see my accountant. I doubt I will get a refund, since I haven't had one in a while, so I'm not in a big hurry."

Carl Wallman: "I always do mine early so I can get my refund. I got my state refund back already."

Margit Byrd: "I had my accountant file them electronically today. That way I can get my refund within three weeks. I like to get it out of the way early."

Mark Schario: "I put it in the mail last week. I usually procrastinate, but I'm getting some money back this year. I do it myself, and it took half a day."
