The Southeast Missourian asked people what they thought about plans by the city of Jackson and the Jackson Chamber of Commerce to jointly establish a web site on the Internet.
Linda Putz: "It would be a great opportunity for Jackson to have this. It could include local history. It would be good for kids to learn about the past."
Susan Koch: "I think it would be great, and it could be used for the history of Jackson. For the schools, it would be exciting. People anywhere could look up information on Jackson."
Chris Friedrich: "I think it would be good for the business community. I would want to log on and look up local history and find out things about town. It would be worth the investment."
Viola Clardy: "It would be a great advantage for Jackson. It could create more tourism and business for the city. It would also broaden the experiences of students locally."
Stu Garrison: "Individuals put up web sites, so why not a city? The money might not come rolling in from it, but it would definitely be worth the investment. It will be great for the future of Jackson."
