The Southeast Missourian asked, "What would you think of running for a seat on the Jackson Board of Aldermen?"
Brent Wills: "At some point in the future, I would have an interest in that. I like to work with the public and the community. It would be a long-range plan, however."
Yana Burgfeld: "Maybe I would be interested in the far future after my children are grown. Then I would have more time to contribute to the community. For now, I like being part of school functions and ABWA."
Rick Guilliams: "As a former city clerk and treasurer for the city of Jackson, I definitely respect those who serve as aldermen. I've seen the headaches and problems that arise, and I don't think that would be for me."
Donna Overbeck: "No, I think they are doing a fine job. Usually those who are elected know what is going on with the community, and they make good decisions."
Tim Gutwein: "Not at this time. I'm pretty new to town, but I am impressed by the progressiveness of Jackson. I'm building a business and I'm involved with Rotary Club and Jackson Optimists, so my time is pretty much consumed."
