The Southeast Missourian asked people about their favorite music.
Inez Smith: "I like many types of music. I dial around on the radio, but I especially like listening to classical music on KRCU. I also like to listen to the Boston Pops on television."
Jennie Starkey: "I listen to early-80s music like Foreigner and Boston. I listen to groups like that because my older brother and sister did while I was younger. You can understand the lyrics."
Marlene Wilson: "I like listening to the old country like Hank Williams, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash. The old country is grassroots music."
Steve Loveless: "I have several LP records of piano music recorded by Horst Jankowski in the '60s that I listen to almost every weekend. I also like singers such as Dionne Warwick and Johnny Mathis."
James Southerland: "When I'm driving, I listen to rap music like Willie D. and Bones. I also like to listen to blues by B.B. King while I'm writing on my computer. It helps to clear my thoughts."
