ASK JACKSON

The Southeast Missourian asked first-graders at Jackson Primary Annex about their dancing abilities.

Marcus Harris: "I'm really into rock-and-roll dances. I know the Boogie, the Macarena and the Swish. I went to dancing class last year."

Deanna Quinn: "I learned to dance by watching ice skaters dance. My mom teaches me."

Alexis Rhodes: "I learned in dance class. They teach tap dancing. My mom goes too. At home my dad plays music for dancing."

Jacob Wren: "I just made up a dance for practice. I do it a lot to show my brother. He's five. Sometimes my parents like to watch, but they have work to do."

Madalyn Robinson: "I've been dancing since I was about four. I practice tap dancing, and dance for my younger brothers. Sometimes they join in."
