The Festivals, Families & the Arts program sponsored by the Southeast Missouri Council on the Arts will resume with a program on "Dushhera" to be presented from 2 to 3:30 today at the Franklin School cafeteria.

Dushhera is a holiday observed in India to celebrate the victory of Good over Evil.

Children and their adult companions will be treated to a puppet dramatization of the holiday presented by Sacket Rohatgi, a student at Southeast Missouri State University.

Rohatgi will discuss his native India and display artifacts brought from his homeland.

Phone the Arts Council at 334-9233 to register.

The next program will be held Nov. 19 at Trinity Lutheran School and will celebrate the Mardi Gras held in Sweden.
