The Arts Council of Southeast Missouri's 29th annual Christmas Arts and Crafts Bazaar will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Show Me Center and the Osage Community Centre.

More than 450 booths will fill the centers with handmade arts and crafts, including cinnamon-roasted almonds, angels, artwork, baked goods, banks, baskets, birdhouses, burlap swags and bags.

Also featured are calendars, calligraphy, cameos, candles, candy, cards, ceramics, chimes, clay pots, clocks, clothing, country decor, crochet, dips and seasonings, dolls, doll clothes and doll houses, dough art, dresses, egg engraving, florals, folk art, fudge, furniture, gingerbread, glasswork, gourd Santas, hairbands and scarves, incense, intarsia, jewelry, jugs, kettle corn, kids' books, knives, lamps and shades.

Other items are leatherwork, magnets, monogramming, musical gifts, night lights, ornaments and trees, paper dolls, pennants, pens and pencil sets, perfume, pewter ware, pillows, plaques, plates, potpourri, pottery, puppets, quilts, raffia, scarves, Santas, scrimshaw, sequins, shadowboxes, shirts with glitter, applique and embroidery, slate tiles, stitchery, stuffed animals, cookbooks, primitive painted items, ironwork, switch plates, tins, tole painting, toys, vests, Victorian items, weaving, wire, wood fretting wreaths and ornaments.

The bazaar is the major fund-raising event for the Arts Council of Southeast Missouri. Proceeds will be used with matching grants from the Missouri Arts Council, a state agency, to provide educational and entertainment programs for area residents of all ages. Programs are provided to special-needs audiences in day-care centers, residential care facilities and schools throughout the area.
