The Southeast Missouri Council on the Arts will hold its annual membership dinner meeting and costume party Friday at the Cape Girardeau Country Club.

The meeting is open to arts council members and prospective members, and to anyone interested in joining the arts council.

The doors will open for the dinner and party at 6:30 p.m. with dinner at 7, followed by the meeting and presentation of the council's Otto F. Dingeldein Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Arts.

Tickets are $15 a person. Reservations are required, and costumes are encouraged.

The proposed slate of officers for the new Board of Directors includes: Chuck McGinty, chairman; Pat Reagan-Woodard, vice chairman; Ann Swanson, secretary; Bob Steinberg, treasurer.

Other new board members will be Bill Davis, Mike Dumey, Marge Nichols Sullivan, Alan Temes, Herb Wickham and Cherie Worth.

The arts council's membership drive is at 54 percent of its $15,000 goal for the 1994-95 fiscal year. Susanna Baylon, an anchor and reporter for KFVS-TV, is heading the drive.
