Spaces are still available for the Arts Council of Southeast Missouri's second session of Summer Arts Camps to be held July 11 to 15. Classes in a variety of themes are offered. Take the bus to see Cape historical sites

The Cape Girardeau Convention and Visitors Bureau has began offering tours of four popular city attractions by bus, beginning at the Red House Interpretive Center, then to Old St. Vincent's Church and the Glenn House before finishing at the Cape River Heritage Museum. Tours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Reservations can be made by calling the CVB at (800) 777-0068.

Missouri cuisines project holds local meeting

STE. GENEVIEVE, Mo. -- A meeting for the Mississippi River Hills pilot region of the Missouri Regional Cuisines Project, which includes Cape Girardeau, Scott and Perry counties, will be held July 1 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Ste. Genevieve Community Center. The MRPC seeks to market regionally produced goods like wines and food products using labels of origin based on ecological regions in the state.
