St. Francis Medical Center and the Regional Arthritis Center at St. Francis will host a free half-day seminar, "Coping with Arthritis" from 8 to noon at the St. Francis Health and Education Center.
The program is open to anyone with arthritis, family members or anyone interested in learning about arthritis. Speakers will include Charles Silva, president of the Arthritis Foundation on foundation services; Cape Girardeau orthopedic surgeon R. August Ritter III, M.D., on "Arthritis and You"; Ellen Holcomb, O.T.R, on adaptive equipment and energy conservation; Tonya Buchheit, P.T., on exercise for people with arthritis; and Debbie Hinnant, R.N., on pain management.
The program is free, but seating is limited and reservations are encouraged. For more information, call the Regional Arthritis Center at St. Francis, 339-6880.
