Educational staff from the St. Louis Art Museum will be at the Cape Girardeau Public Library at 7 p.m. on Feb. 1 to present a program on the library's artistic offerings.

Cape Public Library is a satellite center for the art museum and has resource kits available to area teachers. Some are slides with teacher's guides and others are touch kits with actual artifacts.

The slide kits include 20th century sculpture, American art, arms and armor and Chinese art. The seven touch kits are titled: American Indians, Westward, Preschool, Colonial, Art of the Mediterranean, African Folk Art and American Folk Art.

All are available for check-out and don't require a library card.

The visiting educators from the St. Louis Art Museum will offer teaching ideas and suggestions for using the resources. Everyone is welcome to attend the free program in the Hirsch Community Room.
