Two programs scheduled for the Cape Girardeau Public Library should interest art teachers and other art lovers.
At 7 p.m. April 18, two St. Louis Art Museum educational staff members will present a program on the art resources available at Cape Girardeau Public Library.
The library is a satellite center for educational resource kits from the art museum. Some of the kits have slides and teachers' guides while others have actual artifacts to aid in teaching. All are available for check-out and do not require of Cape Girardeau Public Library card.
From 1-3 p.m. April 28, the library will host a reception and show some of the best artwork done by Cape Girardeau Central High School students.
The work will be displayed from April 28 through May 18. All of the artwork to be exhibited originated from specific studies and assignments under the supervision of Judy Barks-Westrich and Joyce McCullough.
