Kennett woman found dead in her home
The partially clad body of Kathleen Foley, 45, of 710 N. Vandeventer St., Kennett, Mo., was found lying face down in the front room of her home at about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to a statement issued Thursday by the Kennett Police Department. She was pronounced dead at the scene by Dunklin County Coroner Jack Adkins. Kennett police chief Barry Tate said officers responded at 3:26 p.m. to the home, where a woman was standing in the yard yelling for help. Officers discovered recent injuries to Foley's body and blood and other evidence was found at the scene, police said. The condition of the scene and of Foley's body caused police to suspect foul play, police said. The Dunklin County Major Case Squad was called to assist. Neighbors said Foley was seen wandering the neighborhood recently, and looked as if she might have sustained facial injuries. The investigation is ongoing, police said.
