Bootheel resident charged in shooting
SIKESTON, Mo. -- A New Madrid County resident has been charged in the shooting/stabbing incident at 819 Davis St. on Tuesday morning that left him and two others hospitalized. According to a news release from Department of Public Safety director Drew Juden, Vincent Minner, 42, of New Madrid, Mo., has been charged with three counts of first-degree assault, three counts of armed criminal action, one count of first-degree burglary and one count of tampering with a witness. Charges were filed by Scott County prosecutor Paul Boyd. Bond has been set at $1 million. Minner was still in a local hospital Thursday under guard pending release to the Scott County Sheriff's Department.
