Ed Arnzen, women's basketball coach at Southeast Missouri State University, will be the speaker today at the Chamber of Commerce First Friday Coffee.
The gathering will get under way at 7:30 a.m. at Drury Lodge. Wolsey Investigative Service Inc., will be this month's sponsor.
Arnzen is a long-time resident of Cape Girardeau and coached at Notre Dame High School before moving to Southeast as a men's basketball assistant.
Since taking over as the Otahkian's head coach, the team has compiled a record of 195-47. In the spring, he directed the women's team to a second place finish in the NCAA Division II tournament.
The Otahkians have made seven NCAA tournament appearances during Arnzen's tenure, and he has been named Missouri Intercollegiate Athletic Association "Coach of the Year" three times, including last season.
