NEW MADRID, Mo. -- A Jonesboro, Ark., man will spend 15 years in prison after entering a guilty plea to voluntary manslaughter.

Eric Dashawn Wilbourn, 20, entered the guilty plea before Judge Fred Copeland Tuesday on the amended charge of voluntary manslaughter.

Wilbourn was charged in the May 29, 2010, shooting death of Al Jones in Pemiscot County.

According to the probable-cause statement, Wilbourn confessed to shooting Jones in the back and a second man in the leg during a large gathering at the corner of Barnes and McCollum streets in Steele, Mo. Jones later died from the injuries.
