AREA TEACHERS ATTEND ECONOMIC STUDY TOUR

Betty Deardorff, counselor at Jefferson Elementary, and Janet Herron, Chapter I teacher at Scott County Central, recently participated in the University of Missouri-St. Louis Economics Study Tour.

Union Electric Co. of St. Louis sponsored Deardorff and Noranda of New Madrid sponsored Herron.

The nine-day tour, planned and sponsored by the Missouri Chamber of Commerce, gives classroom teachers a personal look at Missouri business and industry. Its purpose is to provide a hands-on learning experience to help participants pass on a better understanding of economics to their students.
