A number of area students have earned academic distinction at several universities and colleges.
Sam Eatherton, of Jackson, a sophomore at Concordia College in Seward, Neb., has been named to the term honors list for the second semester of the 1992-93 academic year.
The top 25 percent of students who complete at least 12 credit hours and compile a grade point average of 3.5 or higher qualify for the honors list.
Eatherton is the son of the Rev. Lawrence and Karen Eatherton.
Another Jackson native, Monti Ferronato, as been named to the Dean's List for the spring trimester at Palmer College of Chiropractic, in Davenport, Iowa.
Ferronato is enrolled in a five-academic-year course study leading to the doctor of chiropractic degree.
