AREA STUDENTS NAMED STUDENTS OF THE MONTH

Four area students have been chosen as Students of the Month for February 1993 by the Cape Girardeau Elks Lodge.

They are: Kimberly Sutton, 18, a senior at Notre Dame High School; Scott M. Hopper, 17, a senior at Cape Central High School; David Tanner, 18, a senior at Notre Dame High School; and Chad Reimann, 18, a senior at Cape Central High School.

The Student of the Month program is sponsored by the Elks Lodge in an effort to bring recognition to outstanding youths in the area. Students are selected by a panel of youths in each participating high school within the jurisdiction of the sponsoring lodge.

Multiple achievements, citizenship, scholarship and leadership are the basis for selection. Students are nominated monthly by classmates and teachers in their schools and then are screened by a school student committee or special panel.
