Valerie Holland of Gordonville is a member of the Conservatory of Music at the University of Missouri at Kansas City's Heritage Chorale which is considered to be one of the premiere collegiate ensembles in America today.
Membership in this choir is by highly competitive auditions in which only the most talented people are accepted.
In May, the Chorale has been invited to conduct clinics, workshops and concerts on American music to various university, church and government sponsored organizations in Brazil. During the winter semester of 1993, they will be performing as part of community concert and arts organizations throughout the Midwest.
In the past the Chorale has toured Japan, Germany, France, Italy, Austria, England, various other European countries and Mexico. They have been invited to perform for national, regional and state conventions of the American Chorale Directors Association, Music Educators National Conference and numerous firms in private industry.
Holland is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Holland of Gordonville.
