AREA STUDENT PARTICIPATES IN WEEKLONG CHOIR TOUR

Jennifer Rice of Jackson was among 54 Hannibal-LaGrange College Concert Choir members who participated in a weeklong tour recently.

Rice is a freshman majoring in nursing.

The choir, under the direction of Jane Griffen, began its annual choir tour at Hannibal High School. From there, the choir traveled to the St. Louis area to perform at various churches and schools.

In almost a dozen concerts, the choir performed selections by Handel, Beethoven, Bruckner, and other more contemporary artists. Also performing is Praise Song, the school's contemporary Christian ensemble.
