Area roads closed for repairs, construction

Highway 61 will be reduced to one lane for road repairs at the Route D intersection from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday. The work zone will be marked. Old Toll Road in Jackson is now open. Route 34 between Cathy Drive and County Road 335 will be closed for brief periods to allow equipment to enter the project site. The work is part of phase two of the Highway 34/72 project, which will widen and resurface the road. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling in both areas.
