Christina D. Melton of Cape Girardeau and Lori D. Meyr of Chaffee have received President's scholarships to attend Southeast Missouri State University during the 1992-93 academic year.
The President's Scholarship is awarded to high school seniors who rank at least in the upper 20 percent of their high school class and score 24 on the ACT, those who rank in the upper 15 percent of their class and score 23 on the ACT, or those who are their class valedictorian or salutatorian.
The scholarship is worth $1,000 per academic year and is renewable for four years if a 3.5 grade point average is maintained.
Melton is the daughter of Marilynn A. Melton of Cape Girardeau and is a 1992 graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School.
Meyr is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Meyr of Chaffee, and is a 1992 graduate of Chaffee High School.
