After seeing the destruction in Haiti following the Jan. 12 earthquake, 11-year-old Briana Copetieters told her mother she was going to organize a fundraiser to gather at least $1,000. She decided a rummage sale at the mall could be put together quickly. Briana made some calls, and West Park Mall said, "Yes."

After seeing the destruction in Haiti following the Jan. 12 earthquake, 11-year-old Briana Copetieters told her mother she was going to organize a fundraiser to gather at least $1,000. She decided a rummage sale at the mall could be put together quickly. Briana made some calls, and West Park Mall said, "Yes."

Briana said the sale will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

TVs, toys, children's clothing and other items will be available. All proceeds go to the Humanitarian Services emergency response organization.

Drop off items between 1 and 7 p.m. Friday at the mall near the play area. Anyone purchasing or donating $30 or more will get a free appetizer at Texas Roadhouse.
