FRUITLAND, Mo. -- Fruitland Livestock Auction Tuesday. Receipts, 823; last wee, 751; last year, 1,030. Compared to last week feeder steers and heifers under 500 lbs sold steady to 2.00 higher, offering over 500 lbs sold 2.00-4.00 lower.

Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady; Demand moderate and supply light. Cows made up approximately 33 percent of the run, feeders 67 percent.

Steers made up approximately 51 percent of the offering, 49 percent heifers. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 28 percent.

Feeder steers: Medium and Large 1 325-375 lbs 100.00-101.50. Medium and Large 1-2 250-300 lbs 96.00-99.00; 300-400 lbs 87.00-98.00; 400-450 lbs 81.00-91.00; 500-600 lbs 75.00-84.25; 600-700 lbs 69.00-78.00; 750-775 lbs 73.25-74.50; pkg 810 lbs 71.00. Medium and Large 2 300-375 lbs 72.50-86.00; 450-500 lbs 73.25-79.00; 550-600 lbs 67.50-76.00; pkg 613 lbs 69.50.

PATTON, Mo. -- Patton Junction Livestock Auction Monday. Receipts, 960; last week, 1,382; last year, 1,080. Compared to last week steers and heifers sold 5.00+ lower. Slaughter cows and bulls sold 2.00 higher; Demand and supply light. Cows made up approximately 8 percent of the run, 92 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 50 percent of the offering and 50 percent heifers. Offering over 600 totaled around 19 percent.
