When: 7 to 11 p.m. today, Oct. 29, 30 and 31; 7 p.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday.

Where: A.C. Brase Arena

Cost: 20-minute tour; $3 for adults, $2 for children 12 and under.

Haunted house features a terrifying maze throughout the tunnels of the A.C. Brase Arena.

FRIDAYHaunted Ghost Town tours

When: 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. (Friday and Saturday)

Where: Black Forest Village, located off County Road 638, north of Cape Girardeau

Cost: $4 for adults, $2 for children 6 to 12. Concessions available.

This is one of Southeast Missouri's few remaining haunted-house-type experiences. Haunted Hayride

When:Dusk until 11 p.m. (Friday and Saturday)

Where:Starting at Scott City recycling center building

Cost:$4 for adults 13 years and older, $3 for children 12 and under. Optional haunted maze before the hayride.

The 20-minute ride is sponsored by Scott City's parks and recreation department. Proceeds go toward the city's capital improvements. Halloween storytelling

When:6:30 p.m. Where:Bollinger Mill State Historic site

Cost:Free and open to the public

Enjoy an evening of spooky stories at Bollinger Mill State Historic Site. Sponsored by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. Beginning at 6:30 p.m., storytellers, including professional storyteller Diane Moran, will entertain people around a bonfire with light refreshments served afterward. Bring blankets and lawn chairs.Haunted House

Where:Black Diamond Ranch, 2715 State Highway 127, North Cobden, Ill.

Cost:$4, child care and ghoulish delights provided.

SATURDAYScott City Halloween Parade

When:9 a.m.

Where:Starts at the Assembly of God Church parking lot and ends on Second Street East.

This 15th annual event will include a costume contest, which will take place at the end of the parade route.Kids Safe Halloween party

When:1 to 4 p.m.

Where:Cape Girardeau Regional Airport

Event at the ARCH Air Medical Service hangar, includes games, entertainment, candy and prizes for a costume contest. Parents can receive Halloween safety tips and reflective strips for costumes and candy bags. An ARCH helicopter ambulance, a Cape Girardeau fire department engine and police cars, and an ambulance from Cape County Private Ambulance will be on display.Boy Scout Halloween Trail

When:6 to 8:30 p.m. (Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts only on Saturday; also open to general public on Sunday at same time)

Where:Legion Lake Park in Perryville

Non-scary event, geared for children 10 and younger, begins with a hay ride, followed by a guided tour through the trail and ends with a hay ride. Sponsored by Boy Scout Troop 155 and Cub Scout Pack 55. For more information, contact Mark Brewer at (573) 547-2433.

SUNDAYN'Orleans' Glenn House benefit

When:4 p.m.

Where:N'Orleans Restaurant at 300 Broadway

Cost: $45 per person

Starting at the restaurant with appetizers, event will include a twilight tour of Lorimier Cemetery, a 5:30 p.m. tour of the Glenn House and dinner at the restaurant at 6:45 p.m. accompanied by readings from Edgar Allen Poe's literary works. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Glenn House.

MONDAYPumpkin carving 101

When:7 p.m.

Where:Cape Girardeau Public Library

All ages are invited to BYOP (bring your own pumpkin) and create an original pumpkin design using carving and scraping techniques. Pumpkin stories and treats will be included. If you have carving tools, bring them along. Call 334-5279 to reserve your space.

Lynwood Fall Family Festival

When:6 to 8 p.m.

Where: Osage Community Centre.

Cost:Canned-food item for a local church food pantry

Sponsored by Lynwood Baptist Church, the fall festival is a safe Christian alternative to Halloween and is open to all area preschoolers through sixth-graders and their families. Participants will enjoy games, refreshments, candy and door prizes. All children must be accompanied by an adult, and no scary costumes are allowed.Fruitland Community Church Fall Family Festival

Where:Fruitland Community Church

Cost:Admission is a canned-food item. Games and food are free.

Cost:Free

Children 12 and under can enjoy the free "Trick or Treat Street" and register for the costume contest. Registration is from 5 to 7 p.m. All winners will be announced at the Pasta House Court at 7:30 p.m. and will receive a gift card.

Harvest Festival/ alternative Halloween When:6:30 to 8 p.m.

Where:Morley Baptist Church fellowship hall

Games, prizes and candy will be provided for children of all ages.
