Fishing ranges from fair to good at various area lakes and water impoundments this week.
Clearwater lake is Clear and normal with crappie hitting good at night. White bass fishing is good with other species only fair.
Duck Creek is clear and normal with bass and bluegill good and crappie fair. Vegetation on the lake is heavy.
Bluegill is providing the top action at Lake Girardeau, which is clear and normal. Catfish is good on stinkbaits and nightcrawlers, with crappie and bass fair during early and late hours.
Wappapello Lake is clear on the lower lake and dingy on upper lake. Vegetation is moderate and bass fishing is good using spinnerbaits and plastic worms around stumps and rocks. Bluegill fishing is good in depths of two to five feet, and crappie fishing is poor.
