Counties in Missouri and Illinois are seeking foster families to take in babies, preschool children, adolescents and siblings.
Both states require potential foster care parents to undergo training, face screening for criminal records and a home study. Foster parents are paid each month for each child who lives with them. Medical coverage is also provided.
If you live in Missouri call the office of the Missouri Division of Family Services in your county for information about licensing requirements.
In Illinois call the office of the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services in your county.
For general information about foster care in either Missouri or Illinois call Foster Care Coalition by dialing FOSTER3.
