Three area business education teachers were recently selected as members of Who's Who in Missouri Business education. Inductees are Wilma Wilcoxson, Jackson High School; Barbara Lohr, Cape Girardeau Area Vocational School; and Linda Henson Wiggs, Southeast Missouri State University.
The teachers were recognized for their efforts in promoting Missouri business education. They work together to coordinate an articulated business education program for students who choose to study business education at the high school, vocational school or university level. In addition, each teacher works with the business teacher education program at Southeast Missouri State University.
The three are members of Southeast District Business Education Association, Missouri Business Education Association and Missouri Vocational Association. Lohr and Wilcoxson were both chosen Outstanding Business Educator for Southeast District and for the state of Misosuri. They have both served as FBLA sponsors for over 15 years. Wiggs sponsors PBL and Pi Omega Pi organizations at the university. She was selected Outstanding Business Educator for Jefferson County District.
