Mrs. Rugraff is the former Cheri Meyer, daughter of Claude and Colleen Elrod of Bell, and Ron and Linda Meyer of Orlando, Fla. She is a school teacher. Rugraff is a coach and teacher at Clayton High School in St. Louis. He is the son of Michael and Pat Sturm of Cape Girardeau, and Donald and Lois Rugraff Sr. of St. Louis.
