University of Missouri archaeologist Michael O'Brien will discuss the "Late Prehistoric Archaeological Record of Pemiscot County" at a lecture Sunday at the Southeast Missouri State University Museum.

The one-hour lecture will begin at 2 p.m. The event constitutes the annual Thomas Beckwith Memorial Lecture, hosted by the University Museum and Southeast's sociology and anthropology department.

In addition to being an archaeologist, O'Brien is the associate dean of the College of Art and Science at the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Sunday's lecture is free and open to the public. A reception will follow the lecture.

The University Museum is located in Memorial Hall.
