The Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department will offer a series of aquatics classes to provide quality aquatic training in May and June.
A series of aquatics classes such as lifeguard training, lifeguard training instructor, CPR/first aid, and water safety instructor aid will be offered.
Two lifeguard training classes, consisting of 27 hours of instruction, will also be available. The first class will be on May 7-8 and May 14-15. The second class will take place June 4-5 and June 11-12. The lifeguard training classes will be completed in a pair of weekend sets.
A lifeguard training instructor course will also be offered. This class is scheduled for two days: June 4 and 11.
A CPR/first-aid class will take place May 10-12.
A water safety instructor-aid class will also be available to certify individuals to help teach Red Cross swim classes.
The WSI Aid class will consist of 10 hours of instruction beginning Juen 7 and ending June 9.
All classes will take place ath the Cape Girardeau Central High Swimming Pool.
