After students complete FyLP, they are encouraged to continue in the Emerging Leaders program, focusing on interpersonal communication, time management and professionalism. This is held in the spring semester.

Upon completion of the two programs, those recommended by faculty and staff and accepted enter into the President's Leadership Academy, a selective program for 15 of Southeast's most outstanding upper-class student leaders. Participants learn to use their leadership expertise to give back to the Southeast campus and community. Participants work with a community mentor to propose, develop and implement a Southeast Success Project for the campus or surrounding area.
