Students and interested parties are invited to attend the court session of the Missouri Eastern District Court of Appeals when it holds a docket for the first time in history at the circuit courtroom at the Perry County Courthouse in Perryville, Mo.
The dockets will be held beginning at 9:30 a.m. June 17.
"We are honored to hold court in Perryville," said Chief Judge Lawrence E. Mooney. "Our court started traveling to Southeast Missouri in 1981, mainly to Cape Girardeau, as a convenience to area attorneys and litigants. We have been coming back to Southeast Missouri every year since."
In addition to Mooney, five other judges from the court of appeals will be participating, including Judge Lawrence G. Crahan, Judge Robert Dowd, Judge George Draper III, Judge Glenn Norton and Judge Booker T. Shaw, all from St. Louis. The judges will sit in two panels to hear oral arguments from attorneys involved in cases appealed from trial courts in Southeast Missouri.
